What is RAINBOW CONFERENCE?

Rainbow Conference is London’s premier post-SIGGRAPH wrap-up event, bringing together top projects, studios, and talent in the industry. Designed as an accessible evening experience, it fosters inclusivity and diversity, with all events free to attend.

The conference features hands-on workshops and masterclasses during the day, followed by keynote presentations, studio recruitment booths, and tech demos each evening. Aspiring animators can receive feedback through Bring Your Own Animation, and the final day concludes with a panel discussion featuring industry leaders.

Now in its second year, the FastForward Student Showcase spotlights emerging talent, culminating in a screening of the top three student short films and the Rainbow Conference Student Film Award announcement.

This dynamic event unites students, professionals, and enthusiasts across VFX, animation, and gaming, strengthening London’s CGI community.

  • Free for all! We are a non-profit charity and we strongly believe in the free sharing of knowledge and ideas. Our mission is to offer industry professionals, students and enthusiasts a platform to network, collaborate, and grow in an inspiring environment.

  • High Attendance and Impact: Our previous conference - Rainbow Conference 2024 was a resounding success, drawing nearly 500 attendees over two exciting days at the Barbican Centre. We brought together industry professionals, students, and enthusiasts, creating a vibrant atmosphere for learning and connection.

  • Top Studio Talent: Over the course of the two days we featured nine talks, ranging from an award winning short-film premiere, making-of presentations on some of the year's biggest films and a round table discussion of studio executives on a topic of high interest.

  • The Venue: We are thrilled to return to the Barbican Centre, one of London’s leading arts and learning hubs, for Rainbow Conference 2025. High up under the glass roof, the Conservatory Terrace is a magical space overlooking hundreds of tropical plants where the main exhibition area will take place, with studio recruitment booths, exhibitors, and networking opportunities with refreshments to keep us fresh all evening long!

  • Multiple Sponsor Opportunities: There are many ways designed to help your organization stand out and connect with the industry's best talent, professionals, and students.
